The Concerts in the Park Committee was created with our goal of reviving the concerts in Kerr Park.  We are fortunate to have a beautiful park with a gazebo which is the ideal setting for a concert, we felt this area of the park was not fully utilized.

So, the Downingtown Concerts in the Park were revived during the summer of 2009. Downingtown Borough is experiencing many changes and revitalization efforts are well underway.  We are fortunate to have new restaurants and many other businesses moving into the Borough.  We want to showcase the diversity that Downingtown has to offer.  The 2009 concert series was a huge success, we were able to provide four concerts free to the public.  However; there are many expenses associated with this type of community event; we rely solely on the donations of businesses and individuals whose generous contributions sponsor the concerts.

During 2010, we are striving to offer an extended variety of musical entertainment that will appeal to a wide range of age groups.  We will also have several vendors available at the concerts offering food, drinks and snacks.  This will be an excellent opportunity to end your weekend activities by joining us and enjoying the concerts in a very relaxed atmosphere.  Grab your blankets and chairs and join us for the 2010 Concerts in the Park.  We ask you to please abide by the rules of no alcohol or dogs in the park.
